Faith and The Light.

Long ago, by the sea,
just past the crack of dawn
to a lighthouse-keeper and his wife,
a girl named Faith was born.

So when his dear wife had passed,
the man was not alone,
for his daughter stayed by his side
in the place they called their home.

The lighthouse was a part of her
it shared her heart and soul.
A love they shared was looking out
to watch the blue tides roll.

This joy, sadly, could not last,
for one dark and stormy night
the landlord knocked once, twice, then trice
on the door that housed that light.

The keeper smiled and welcomed him
but the man said “I’m not here to stay.

When I was younger – say 13 or 14 years old, my grandparents took me to the large scale reconciliation session that was happening at that parish that year, in heading up towards the Easter weekend. The general idea was for a number of priests would all meet at the one church at the same time, then the parishioners would all have their one-on-one time with a priest, each confessing their own sins, receiving their absolution and their penance from the priest they have spoken with.

This one event sticks out in my mind, even today. I can remember feeling overwhelmed by seeing the rows of people, each of them waiting patiently to confesjust another page. by `chezza-t18

salutations to everyone.

firstly, thank you to those who left me birthday well wishes. they didn't go unnoticed. n_n

ok so. my last journal said that i was making some life changes. this is still true, and i can now announce a date:

7 May 2010.

i'm freaking a little, considering this is quite a huge thing for me:

i'm going for my forklift license.

i don't know what i will do with this new power.. but.. i'm hoping i'll be able to lift stuff.

with a fork.
